Thank you for being someone who does name the "elephant in the room" and initiate real conversation.

I was recently convicted of my responsibility to speak words of affirmation and thanks as part of the body of Christ. Somehow I had assumed those good things were being said...only to realize it's often the opposite.

Your example has long given me hope - thanks. You know how you much I love you and the truth that you bring to the church, both women and men. It was after a particular talk that I was speaking to some friends, sharing how moved I had been by your wisdom and truth, and much to my surprise they were angry. They heard all kinds of things that you didn't say. I realized by the things that they said that they were listening through the filter of their own fear and insecurities. I always wondered how people who walked in His day could reject Jesus who was the embodiment of pure, untainted love. Now I understand. People listen to support their fear and insecurities instead of embracing the truth in love.Lee Annhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06719334173315036751noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7273706721735028462.post-6624110951524751212010-07-26T22:09:04.089-07:002010-07-26T22:09:04.089-07:00ditto Kellie's comment! They gave it to me on tape, and I have listened to it over and over again and shared it with others. I have no label that works, but boy do I understand why that conversation would hurt. Being dismissed through the use of that word diminishes and devalues your message and your journey.
